Do you remember Brixton in the 1970s?

Acme Films is a TV production company making dramas and documentaries.

They are in the early research stages of a project about life in Brixton during the 1970s and are interested in finding out about the people, stories and events which illustrate what life was really like in the community in the pre-Thatcher era (before 1979)...

If you lived here, worked in or were connected with the area during this period they would like to talk to you. Were you a child growing up in the area at that time? Were you a parent bringing up a family? Maybe you worked locally or perhaps you just socialised in the area. Acme are interested in people’s personal stories as well as their memories of how iconic events like the long hot summer of 1976 or the Queen’s Silver Jubilee in 1977 impacted on life in Brixton. They are also interested in photographs that might help us get a visual sense of the time.
If you would like to be involved please come and meet from February 4th to 7th at The Brix, St Matthew's Church, 5 St Matthew's Rd Brixton SW2 1JF.

Please contact Marian at acme films on (T) 0203 056 7605
(E) Marian@acmetv.co.uk to arrange a time or just drop in between 10am and 6pm.
