The regeneration of Brixton is being taken forward through a Supplementary Planning Document (SPD).
A draft version of the SPD, which will be put out for consultation, was agreed by Cabinet last week.
Councillor Matt Parr of Coldharbour Ward has made detailed submissions in response to the consultation.
He spoke at the Cabinet meeting, welcoming the draft SPD which outlines a series of exciting changes. But he stressed that transport infrastructure improvements are needed, particularly with regards to the overground station and its links with the tube, both of which are gateways into Brixton and Lambeth.
Somewhere to sit on the overground platform would be good!
He told the meeting that he would also like to see more detail regarding the energy, water and waste strategy. Details like where rubbish is stored can make a big difference.
If you would like to make any comments, please have a look at the draft BrixtonSPD.
